Delivery Information

Australian Postage & Delivery Information

Whenever possible (i.e. when size and weight permits) 20th Century Salvation use Australia Post for postage/shipping. These are the usual postage options available for selection during the checkout process –
 
  • Australia parcel post -The item is sent via regular Australia parcel post – For small, low value items.
  • Australia parcel post with insurance -The item is sent via regular Australia parcel post, however the insurance option gives you the ability to insure the item up to a maximum of $5000 (add $1.50 per $100 value) - Strongly recommend this option for all postage selections where the item has a value greater than $100.
 
20th Century Salvation will not be held responsible for packages lost, or items damaged after we lodge them through an Australia Post outlet. We pack all of our items extremely well, and strongly recommend Australia parcel post with insurance to safe guard against loss and damage. If you decide to not to use the Australia parcel post with insurance option you are doing so from your own will and understand the possible consequences of your actions.
 
Free Postage
 
Often there will be items listed for sale in the online store that come with free postage. These items will be clearly marked ‘free postage’ on both the product image and written in the description. These free postage items are sent via Australia parcel post/prepaid Australia post satchels with insurance for your peace of mind. Please see above for definition. Please note – It is very important that you fill out the billing and address details correctly during the checkout process as we post all free postage items to the billing address. (Step 2 Account and Billing Details). If you wish to have your item sent to an address that is different to your billing address please contact and let us know the postal address at the end of the checkout process.
 
Email Track Advice
 
Email track advice is available (and opted in) for all regular large parcels that are lodged over the counter at an Australia Post retail outlet. This service is free of charge. After your parcel has been lodged we will contact you via email with tracking details.
 
Express Post
 
Unfortunately our location just falls outside of Australia Post’s Next Business Day Express Post & Platinum networks. Due to this fact we have disabled the express post function as there is no actual benefit to you the customer in choosing the express post option.
 
Cash On Delivery
 
20th Century Salvation does not offer a cash on delivery service via Australia Post. All items must be paid for in full before they are lodged with Australia Post.

Handling Time
 
20 Century Salvations handling time for items sent via Australia Post is 1- 2 business days. This ensures you receive your item as quickly as possible. If some unforeseen circumstance is to arise and there will be a delay in the postage of your item we will let you know via phone and email straight away.
 
Notification of item being sent
 
20th Century Salvation will notify you, the customer via email, on the successful lodging of your item via an Australia Post outlet and any details relevant to the postage of your item (Tracking Code, Estimated arrival).
 
Local Pickup
 
Local pickup is another option during the checkout process (Step 4 Delivery Method). Local pickup is from Goulburn NSW 2580. Goulburn is located just off the Hume Highway, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes south of Sydney, 45 minutes north of Canberra. Please contact us via email or phone after completing the checkout process to organize specific dates, times, and location for pickup.
 
Transportation of Larger Items
 
For larger items including but not limited to - lounge suites, dining suites, stools, signs (basically anything that is too big to be sent through Australia Post) we are happy to work with the customer to find a solution for transportation.
 
20th Century Salvation Delivery
 
We here at 20th Century Salvation are happy to discuss in-house delivery options with any potential customers. With over 8 years experience in the delivery of all types of furniture we have the necessary skills to ensure your item gets to you safe and sound. There would be a charge of $0.60 per km (only on travel to your location) along with any necessary tolls. This fee is to be paid up front and is non-refundable. For large, heavy items, assistance from and able-bodied person on your end is required. For example -
 
A customer organizes the in-house delivery of a lounge. The distance to the customer’s location is 200km’s, and one toll road is used at a cost of $4.10. The customer pays a non-refundable fee up front of $124.10 (200 x $0.60 + $4.10) for the delivery of the lounge.
 
Please note that delivery to a city's CBD will incur an extra fee.

Courier Service
 
20th Century Salvation are happy to organise quotes for you the customer in regards to the use of a courier service for the delivery of an item. We have several local courier companies (including Fast Track Express, TNT, Toll Ipec) that we have used before with success so if you see an item that you are interested in please don’t hesitate getting in contact with us via email or phone to discuss this option.
 
International Postage 
 
At this stage 20th Century Salvation does not offer international postage. If however you are from overseas and see an item on our website that you must have please do not hesitate to contact us and discuss possible postage options.
